Awarded 3rd Place in the Coloso Illustration Contest
It was truly an honor to participate in the Coloso contest and receive 3rd place with this piece.
For this project, I wanted to challenge myself to visualize psychological duality. I gave a lot of thought to designing a character who hides her lazy and greedy nature behind a seemingly peaceful, innocent exterior. I struggled to find a perfect composition that balances a "cozy-looking distance" with the "uncomfortable truths" found upon closer inspection.
Pushing through those challenges was a truly valuable experience, and it helped me realize areas in storytelling and rendering where I still need to grow. I’m grateful for the chance to keep learning.
